Meet The Clinic Owner

Jonathan Ruzicka

Who Is Jonathan Ruzicka, Founder of RPM Physical Therapy?

Born in Houston and raised in The Woodlands, Dr. Jonathan Ruzicka is deeply connected to the community he now serves. After spending years away for education and advanced training, he and his family returned to The Woodlands five years ago, where he now helps active adults and families overcome pain and get back to living fully.

As a husband and father of two young boys, Jonathan understands how important it is for people to stay active, independent, and able to enjoy life without constantly

thinking about discomfort or physical limitations. That personal connection is a big part of the way he approaches care today.

A Personal Injury That Changed His Career Path

Jonathan’s passion for physical therapy was built through personal experience.

At 19 years old, while playing college football, he suffered a serious back injury during a heavy squat workout that crushed two discs in his spine. For a week, he could barely walk. Even after the initial injury settled down, he continued dealing with intense daily pain and tightness that made normal movement difficult.

During that time, he visited more than 10 healthcare providers including chiropractors, physicians, and physical therapists, but struggled to find lasting relief. It wasn’t until a friend recommended a chiropractor in Wichita Falls, Texas, that things finally began to change.

Within just one week of treatment, his pain improved significantly. The experience completely shifted his perspective on healthcare and recovery. After seeing the impact that hands-on treatment and proper movement-based care could have, Jonathan decided to dedicate his life to helping others avoid the same frustration and uncertainty he experienced.

Committed To Excellence

Originally studying geology, Jonathan changed career paths and pursued physical therapy after recovering from his injury. From the beginning, he was determined to specialize in orthopedic and manual therapy so he could provide a higher level of care than what many people traditionally experience.

Throughout his career, he has invested more than half a million dollars into advanced education, mentorships, fellowships, and continuing education programs. He also completed a rigorous three-year fellowship in manual therapy consisting of 440 mentorship hours and 18 intensive training weekends.

That commitment to education was driven by one goal: delivering the best possible outcomes for every client who walks through the door.

A Results-Driven Approach To Care

Jonathan believes people deserve more than temporary relief. His focus is on identifying the true cause of pain, creating a clear recovery plan, and helping clients build long-term strength and resilience so they can stay active and healthy long after treatment ends.

This philosophy has helped produce exceptional outcomes for the people he works with. In recent years, the clinic has achieved success rates above 90%, measured by clients reaching their primary goals and feeling confident that their investment in care was worthwhile.

By combining advanced hands-on treatment, modern technology, strength-based rehabilitation, and personalized recovery plans, Jonathan and his team help clients return to the activities that matter most to them.

Whether that means exercising again, playing with children, getting back to golf, traveling comfortably, or simply moving through everyday life without fear of pain, the goal is always the same: helping people regain confidence in their bodies and stay active for the long term.
